Medical Travel Insurance

BrokerSure specialise in providing access to travel insurers who include cover for pre-existing medical conditions in their policies. Throughout the quote process, all travellers are asked the following questions, in order to determine if a viable travel insurance policy is available:

  • Has anyone in your party ever been diagnosed with or treated for any cancerous, respiratory, diabetes, heart or circulatory conditions?
  • Has anyone received an organ transplant or dialysis?
  • Has anyone been prescribed medication, received treatment or attended a medical practitioner’s surgery in the last 2 years?
  • Has anyone ever been diagnosed with or treated for any psychological or psychiatric conditions?
  • Has anyone attended a hospital or clinic as an inpatient or outpatient in the last two years?

  • Is anyone currently on a waiting list for treatment or investigation for a diagnosed condition?
  • Is anyone currently awaiting any treatment or investigation for an undiagnosed condition?
  • Has anyone been given a terminal prognosis? (If so, is the prognosis less than 6 months from the date of return of the trip?)

From here, the rest of the quote process encompasses a medical declaration. This involves completing a set of questions related to individual medical conditions. Once finished, you will be presented with a panel of insurers who can provide travel insurance suited to your trip, including cover for emergency medical expenses in connection with your declared conditions.
